Francis: Model of Human Individuation
What can the little man Francis Bernardone, who was born in Assisi over 800 years ago teach us about our
own journey through life and our ministry? In this retreat we will reflect on the great conversions of his life
and see how they helped him to grow psychologically. We will look at how these can help us in our own
vocation to serve God and serve the world in which we live.
Brother Jude, SSF has been a Franciscan friar for 31 years. He lived in various houses in England until
being transferred to the States 11 years ago. In England he trained as a Jungian Analyst/Therapist. He has
a doctorate in Analytical Psychology and is interested in the interface of spirituality and psychology.
He is now the Minister Provincial of this Province of the Society of St. Francis, works on the San Francisco
Night Ministry and is an Associate Priest at the Church of the Advent of Christ the King, San Francisco.
