Bible Study
St. Brigid’s members and, we hope, our friends and neighbors, are moving from weekly to
monthly study group meetings during the summer and fall.
We have two options, running simultaneously.
• Sign up for either or both.
• Drop in and out if you need that flexibility.
• Bring a guest.
• Enjoy the fellowship.
• Come alive to Biblical truths that address your mature 21st century issues and lifestyle.
One opportunity is Your Bible! The Study Begins, a basic seven session Kerygma study. This
will take us from June 10th to December 9th, meeting once each month, on the second
Thursday morning. Visit www.kerygma.com to learn more about Your Bible!.
Our other opportunity is on the fourth Thursday morning each month, starting on June 24th
and continuing for about ten months. We will study the Book of Revelation. Journeys
Through Revelation: Apocalyptic Hope For Today is a study with up to date thinking and no
bad theology, compiled by Lutheran author, theologian and New Testament professor,
Barbara R. Rossing. The materials of this Bible study are featured as the 2010-11
Presbyterian Women Horizons Bible Study. Marcia recommends this Bible study to us, based
on her experience learning from Rossing at a Presbyterian Women conference. Join us for
“Lamb Power!” “Not left behind but hope and praise on the journey.”
As usual, there will be some scholarships to cover costs so that anyone can attend. As I said
last week, I am praying that I may be simply your facilitator, learning alongside you and staying
out of the Holy Spirit's way,
Deacon Susan
