Welcome

A note from our Senior Warden:

Hello to our family of St. Brigid’s. I want to update you on progress in our plans to regather in our worship
space. The Worship Committee, now also known as the Regathering Taskforce, has met and reviewed the plan put
together and written by Kathleen Moran, our Junior Warden. Kathleen had input from Laura Delaney, our
Church Nurse, and Susan Reeve, our Deacon. The plan was presented to the Taskforce in mid-May and after lots
of discussion is just about finalized.

The Committee’s overarching concern is for the well-being of all of you, our congregation. I can assure you that
the plan is very detailed in all aspects of safety for each person. It includes restrictions on our worship and
community life such as requiring masks, not touching, not singing, no wine offered for Communion, and no afterservice social hour. Those are just a few of the parameters included in the plan; there are several more. When we approach a date to re-enter our space, I will make sure everyone has a copy of the full plan.

We want to hear from you about how you feel about meeting in our worship space again. Sunday, June 28, we will
have a Mission Committee meeting and I invite you to attend and share with everyone your preferences for how
and when to return to our worship space.  With prayers that we all stay safe,
Karin

Bishop Megan’s Sermon for Trinity Sunday
June 7, 2020

In her sermon today, Bishop Megan invites us to go more deeply into the conversation about racism in our country. She speaks of our need to embrace this uncomfortable time and do the difficult work of untangling the knot of racism that binds us up.

Bishop Megan preached this sermon for her virtual visit to Trinity Episcopal Church, Folsom. Celebrating the feast of the Trinity with the congregation on Facebook Live, Bishop Megan preached and the Rev. Todd Bruce, Rector, was celebrant.

Bishop Megan joined them by zoom for one of Rev. Bruce’s famous Sunday School classes (you should definitely attend one some day) and a vestry meeting.

One of the fastest growing congregations in this diocese, Trinity, Folsom, is breaking ground on a major remodel of their church facility that will give them better classrooms, gathering spaces, and more.

The sermon was recorded by Christian Koszka, FreeTime Productions, and Kati Braak, Director of Operations. Thank you to Christian and Kati for their excellent work.
