PIZZA N TUNES N TOONS at Hunter Hall on September 22
Mark your calendar for Friday, September 22 to attend St. Brigid Episcopal Church’s first Pizza N Tunes N Toons fundraiser at Hunter Hall (218 California Street, Rio Vista). The evening will include delicious pizza (from Rio Vista’s own Pizza Factory) and musical entertainment from Dave Moreno on the hall’s Wurlitzer theatre organ with cartoons, silent films and general silliness that will delight every member of the family.
Sadly, Pizza and Pipes restaurants are no longer with us, however, in Rio Vista we can recreate this evening of great food family fun in that tradition. For over 40 years Moreno has played the mighty organs in many of the great remaining vintage theatres and his career included playing in nearly a dozen Sacramento and Bay Area Pizza and Pipes restaurants. His musical skill, warm personality and quirky sense of humor make for an evening of fun that you won’t want to miss.
There will be two seatings for the event, at 5:00 pm or at 6:30 pm. Ticket price is $15 which includes your pizza meal and show. Children’s tickets (6-12 years) are $7.50. Kids 5 years and under are admitted for free. (All children must be accompanied by adults.) Reserve your tickets today by calling Linda Jensen (707-374-5542) or e-mail her email@example.com.
Proceeds from this event benefit St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church outreach programs which include the Children’s Clothing Exchange, Fifth Tuesday Feeding program (in Vacaville), and donations to local charities. Seating will be limited, so reserve your tickets today.
